3D High Performance Point Cloud Processing
Whether airborne or mobile collected LiDAR, 3D point clouds have become a critical element in mapping. LP360, an advanced desktop LiDAR software, makes it easy to extract information and derive products.

Point Cloud Visualization
Extensive visualization is a central part of point cloud analysis. Display methods include a top-down map, a scrollable profile and an interactive 3D window.

Data display options include intensity, color value, height, classification, and more. Rendering modes include points, a triangulated irregular network (TIN) surface model, wireframe, and a TIN/point combination.

Manage thousands of files seamlessly
As technology and collection methods continue to evolve, LIDAR projects continue to get bigger and bigger. LP360's advanced display technologies allow users to work on projects consisting of tens of thousands of LAS files whose size can be measured in Terrabytes. Overcoming this obstacle is just one of the ways LP360 LIDAR software brings the benefits of LIDAR to the GIS desktop.

Generation of derivative products
LP360 includes a comprehensive set of tools, including the Export Wizard, for creating derivative products.

The Digital Elevation Model (DEM) tools allow users to set grid spacing and interpolation methods.
Project-wide outlines can be exported with user-specified intervals and annotations.
Contour smoothing can be used for cartographic applications.
Additional products include slope, aspect, hillshade, and intensity rasters.

Interactive and automatic classification tools
Data classification is an important step before certain derivative products can be generated. The LP360 LIDAR software includes both interactive and automated tools for defining points in the dataset.

Automatic terrain classification enables comprehensive classification of flat or hilly terrain.
The Model Key Points (MKP) tool intelligently thins the data set to create surface models with a user-specified vertical accuracy with fewer points where possible to define flat or sloping areas.
Height segmentation for classification of points above ground.
Ability to redefine classification from one class to another.
Interactive classification methods are available in both map and profile windows.

Breakline digitizing tool for restrictions
One of the more powerful features within the LP360 LIDAR software is breakline capture and enforcement. Use the LP360's comprehensive breakline tool to flatten bodies of water and define riverbanks and terrain changes. Breaklines can also be used to introduce artificial height constraints to a dataset and 2D breaklines can be easily converted to 3D by simply assigning Z values.

Automatic feature extraction
Whether you need to extract polygons to build footprints, lines from power line transmissions, or define a railroad centerline, LP360 LIDAR software has the tools you need. Using automated tools saves time collecting this valuable information that can be used in a variety of analytical workflows such as planning, vegetation encroachment or regulatory compliance.

Cross sections and contours
Cross sections can be extracted from point clouds using a variety of "alignment" definitions. The cross-sections can be of a user-specified length and also clipped to enclosing polygons. The LP360 LIDAR software includes advanced contouring tools that enable both interactive visualization (dynamic contouring) and generation of file-based contours for customer delivery.
